In filing patents and providing related services, the Academy is guided by the norms of the Constitution of Ukraine, civil law and intellectual property law of Ukraine, Laws of Ukraine “On the protection of rights to inventions and useful models”, “On the protection of rights to industrial designs”, “On the protection of rights to signs for  goods and services”, Regulations of the CMU “On some issues of the provision of paid administrative services by the Ministry of Education and Science and the Ministry of Economic Development and Trade (in the field of intellectual property)” dated May 30, 2011, No. 550, Regulations of the CMU “On representatives in intellectual property matters (patent attorneys)”, by the Orders of the Ministry of Education and Culture “On Approval of Amendments to Certain Legal Acts on Intellectual Property” dated June 14, 2011, “Instructions on the Procedure for Acquainting Any Person with the Materials of an Application for an Object of Intellectual Property Rights”, and  as well as the State Standards of the National Standards of Ukraine in the field of intellectual property, the National Standards of Ukraine and other legislative acts  and standards of Ukraine.

APEMH “UMA” aims to promote the intellectual activity of students, scientific and pedagogical workers and specialists of the Academy. We offer services in creating and obtaining patents for the results of intellectual activity, to protect the copyright and intellectual property rights of everyone related to the Academy.

We provide such services as:

• registration of a patent for development (the patent itself belongs to the Academy);
• informational support of subjects of innovative activity;
• financial assistance in obtaining a patent (while preserving the name of the developer);
• provision of patent information services;
• informational and educational activities on the patent registration procedure;
• monitoring of the digital patent library.

Traditionally, we direct the results of intellectual and educational activities to the procedure of obtaining patents, registration of property rights and registration of a trademark, own design, author’s proposal, etc.

It should be noted that the results of intellectual or creative activity mean an object that is complex in nature and includes both non-property and property rights (the right to authorship, the right to publish a work, the right to royalties, etc.).
